Mults Lab
Hello there!
Welcome to my personal website: multslab.com !I'm Ionel and I'm a Computer Science student who is constantly looking for new challenges. When I'm not programming something due to university assignments, you will find programming something for my YouTube Channel "Mults".

My main interests in the CS field include:Low-level programming and hardware
C is my favorite programming language, and I'm looking for fun applications to build with it. Recently I coded my own Chip-8 emulator to learn more about the inner workings of processors and emulation in general. I have taken a few electronic courses in the past and I'm currently looking forward to take some courses in Digital Circuits, and Computer Architecture in the following semesters.
Game development and graphics programming
I started game development a few years ago during the COVID quarantine. As a matter of fact, I started my YouTube channel with the intention of documenting my progress and showcasing whatever games I made. While I don't actively develop games anymore, I'm always eager to join game jams and produce something fun in a short period of time. Currently I have been learning a bit of graphics programming and I intent to take some university courses in this subject as well.
Grammar and programming languages
Grammar and programming languages are relatively new subjects I've been interested in. The current Master's program that I am taking, has a great variety of courses in these topics. Currently, as part of the labs for the course Programming Language Technology, my teammate and I wrote a small compiler for a subset of the C++ language.
But life is not only about computers so here are some of my other interests:
Cooking
I love buying ingredients that I will only use once!
Hiking
As a CS student, touching grass is of uttermost importance. Although hiking is an overstatement, it is mostly me getting lost in the forest than anything else.Cartoons/Anime/Tokusatsu
For some reason, I would rather watch animation than live-action shows. Tokusatsu being the exception (although it has so many quirks that I would hardly count it as live-action). I would make a list of my favorite shows but I do not see the point right now.
Video Editing / Graphic Design
Design is my passion, not my forte, but I do enjoy working on it a lot. Most of the work I done is for the thumbnails of my YouTube videos, but I also enjoy doing my own wallpapers and custom graphics from time to time.
